Backyard Campout

Since we had the tent already to go, we decided on Saturday that we would set it up in the back yard and have a camp out here. Joey had a soccer game earlier in the day, in which he scored 2 goals. He is very excited about doing soccer and when he is focused, does well. Later, Laura, Allen, and I went to confession and then church. After Mass, we went to Home Depot and bought some fire wood. Then we went to the store and bought some goodies for our campfire. Meanwhile at home, Allen and Joey set up the tent and took apart our old grill so we could have a fire in it. We tried to make s'mores, which turned into a huge project but was fun! Anthony and Joey decided in the end it was too cold too sleep outside so we slept inside. Allen, Allen and Laura slept out in the tent. They made hot chocolate also. After the boys fell asleep inside, I went out and talked to Laura who was cuddled up in blankets in the tent. Then I joined my Allens around the campfire for a short while. It was a fun evening.
