Going to a Play

One of my favorite things about homeschooling is all the cool trips we take and things we do. Today we went to see a play called "IF You Give A Mouse A Cookie and other short stories". It was very funny and entertaining. We have been going to plays for about 2 years now. Many are musical versions of stories or real life events. I usually take all the kids with me. Sometimes that is a good idea. Sometimes it is not. Today was a good one for us all to go to. The first story was "Martha Speaks". It was about a dog-so of course AJ was so excited! He knew it was a person dressed up as a dog and kept saying "dog dog!" His only animal word. It was about a dog who ate alphabet soup and then could talk. J. was great. He sat and watched the whole thing and enjoyed it. J. said his favorite part was "all of them". L. and A. agree.
