Catching Up

Tuesday was a busy day, as usual. Laura had art and drama. We also made several trips to the library, where we checked out many, many books. Laura and Joey participated in story time, as did Anthony. The kids are doing dress rehearsals in drama now so it so cute to see them in their train boxes or animal or doll costumes. Laura will be a rabbit instead of a elephant. Allen had scouts Monday and Tuesday night. On Wednesday, we went to Adoration and Pokemon Battles. Thursday was a fun day here. One of the kids favorite stories right now is Stone Soup. At the library they had done a little game pretending to make their own stone soup so they wanted to do it here also. We got out a big pot and sat on the kitchen floor in a circle. Then we added some pretend items but of course the kids wanted to make it for real so we started adding real ingredients. We started with water, then added flour, eggs, salt, pepper, rice, oatmeal, potatoes, vanilla extract, cocoa, bread crumbs, cinnamon, and bread. Plus our imaginary items. Then we warmed it up on the stove. No one wanted to try it though it did smell ok. That was pretty fun for everyone. Laura also had drama. We've also been having outside time playing soccer, red light, green light, tag every day.
