Field Trip Friday
On Friday, the kids and I drove into Dc with my mom to attend a free USAFB Holiday Children's concert. The drive went well and we got there very early and found metered parking. We were fairly close to Constitution Hall also. We went into the building and were seated right away. Our seats were not too good-as far to the side of the stage as possible. Finally we were allowed to move right before the show started, as there were many empty seats. It was a nice concert. Although since we were so early, the boys were done with it fairly quickly. Anthony kept asking if it was over after ever song. Although he did perk up during "Feliz Navidad" and thought Dora was coming-lol! Allen couldn't seem to sit still and was bouncing all around. It was fairly short but by the time it ended so had our metered parking. I ran ahead with Anthony and Joey since Allen had forgotten his jacket. Luckily no ticket, Allen did not find his jacket though. Oh well. After DC, we drove back and went to Burger King for lunch. Then we went to the new aquatic center in Warrenton and joined our church homeschool group for a tour and swim. We had a terrific time. Allen and Laura played with their friends and went down the slide a lot. Joey practiced swimming under water and above and can do it a little better. Anthony had no fear and was jumping in-have to keep an eye on that kid! It was a fun day.
