Christmas Day

Our Christmas was much different than usual as we chose to stay home today. We went nowhere. The kids woke about 7:00 and we opened presents. Quickly- of course. Then time was spent playing and getting the presents out of the boxes or wrappings. We made blueberry muffins and banana nut muffins, bacon and hot chocolate for breakfast. The kids sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. We stayed in pjs for most of the day. We played Sorry, playstation games, and other board games. We ate a light lunch and the kids went outside with their nerf guns and we all played while their dad took a nap. We made a small turkey breast, baked potatoes, corn on the cob and garlic bread for dinner. We ate pumpkin pie for dessert. We enjoyed the quietness and peacefulness of the day.
