Saturday fun

On Saturday, Allen and his dad got up early and headed off for a Boy Scout camping/canoe trip. The kids and I headed into Warrenton for a fun day. We went to a section of stores that was having a family fun day. The kids got a free smoothie to drink for wearing flip flops at one store. They got a map from a pirate and had to get stamps at 2 stores in each section. At the end they turned it in a got a pirate hat. They also got other goodies along the way- pices of candy, face painting(Anthony got a beach ball and Laura got a coconut tree), balloon swords, leis, and played on a moonbounce. We had a great time. It was alot of fun!!

After we were done, we got back in the car and saw we were just in time to go see the homeschool play, so we headed over to the church. This year the play was "ThePrince and the Pauper". It was an excellent play, although it was almost 3 hours long-so a bit much for Anthony. They had a monitor set up in the hall though, so I could go out with him and still watch the play. Everyone enjoyed it. Joey thought some parts were scary with all the fighting. Joey's favorite character was the whipping boy. Anthony enjoyed the bad guys. Laura liked the prince.

This made for along day, so we then headed home to relax for the evening.
