We saw that a homeschool group was hosting a geography study and the country was Japan. I asked the kids if they were interested in picking a project and learning about Japan and they were. So for the last few weeks we have read some books about Japan and the kids thought about what they would like to share with others. Allen decided to focus on doing a house representative of Old Japan. He did all the work himself. Laura was interested in learning how to write in Japanese. So last night was the culmination of their work. The homeschool had a sharing night where the kids brought their projects and shared it with the group. It was interesting as everyone had focused on different areas. Plus one family had lived in Japan so that was really cool to hear about. The kids both shared and Joey asked questions. Even Allen made it from work to come and see so the kids were happy about that. Afterwards we went to Mcdonalds for an icecream.
