On Monday our homeschhol group had an end of year picninc at Rady Park. First the kids and I went to morning mass. Then we went to the park. We were on eof the first families there. The kids got out their bikes and rode around. Then as more families and friends showed up, the kids went off into their friend's groups. Anthony was with 3 other litle kids his age. They were all standing by the creek throwing in rocks and having a good talk with each other. Joey met up with his two best friends who are brothers. They all went off exploring and playing their own games. Laura met up with some girls and they took walks and played Indians. Allen took a while but he finally went over to the boys he knew and they took a lot of walks and played games and threw water at each other and seemed to have a great time. We were there for 6 hours so I'd say the kids had a lot of fun. Joey actually got to go home with his friends and loved that!! We've been talking for months about them having a playdate and finally got to do it. He stayed at their house till we met at Allen's scout meeting in the evening. Allen's scouts are getting ready for camp next month. They have 4 patrols now and each have worked on a flag and yell.
On Tuesday, it stormed early in the morning so everyone was awake about 5:30. We were supposed to meet a friend at the park, but rescheduled it. Laura went to a Squire Roses meeting and is very excited about joining this group at our church.
This morning, we picked up Laura's friends and they all did their hour at theweekly nursing home visit. The boys and I went to Walmart and Anthony got a lifejacket.
