Pokemon battle!

On Saturday, the kids decided to participate in a local Pokemon battle. Now the kids do a weekly battle but this was a whole new experience. There was about 50 kids playing in this battle. There are MANY, MANY Rules and Regulations!! The first thing was each kid had to register their deck and get it approved. Only certain cards were allowed and they could not be bent or marked in anyway. I ended up having to buy Joey and Laura sleeves for their cards. The event was supposed to start at 11:30 but it was 12:30 by the time all the kids got registered. Then they divied them into divisions(Laura and Joey were Juniors). Allen was in the Senior and then older kids were in Masters. Then within the division each person was paired up and had to sit at a certain table.(or in my kids cases on the floor as they ran out of room!) They played one round and then broke for lunch. Allen and Anthony came by right at lunch time. The boys had lost their first battle, but Laura won hers. They were given free kids meals for Chik-Fil-A(terrific!) so we ran over there. After lunch, Anthony stayed with me. The boys won their next battle and Laura lost. Then Laura and Joey won and Allen lost. Then Joey and Laura lost and Allen won. So in their division- Joey ended up in 4th place, Laura in 7th, and Allen in 10th. I hung out there most of the day with them, leaving here and there for a nearby store. Overall the kids had a blast and would love to do it again!!
