Time with Dad
This weekend was very fun and relaxing. The kids basketball games had been cancelled so we had a free Saturday. Of course, it filled up very quickly. We took a family walk down to a bridge near our house. It was a lot of fun since there was still ice on the ground(really!)- so everyone was slipping and sliding around. We went to the frozen water and explored all aroudn under the bridge, near the water, on a side path. We saw the beaver's house and the dam they built. It was just a good time. Then we headed home for noodle soup and hot tea. Allen decided to take Allen and Laura to see Bridge to Teribithia which they all enjoyed. Meanwhile, Anthony actually took a nap so Joey and I played Pirates of Carribean Life and Uno games. When they got back with Taco Bell for dinner we discussed our night plans. Our church homeschool group was putting on a play called "Mr. Toad's Mad Adventures" based on The Wind in the Willows book. So I took Allen, Laura and Anthony to that. It was funny and well done. Joey and his dad stayed home and played a game and watched a movie together. On Sunday we all went to church together and then dad and the kids played in the ice at church. It was some good time with their dad since he works so many many hours during the week.
