Westward Ho!

The kids and I are participating in an online adventure traveling on the Oregon Trail We are on week two and having fun. We picked a family name and our occupations. Allen is a storekeeper, Joey a carpenter, and Laura is a seamstress. We had fun buying supplies and thinking ahead to the trip. We are about 500 miles through the trail. Each day we read travel and fate cards and make decisions which affect our travel in some way. We have learned about a few spots and famous explorers to the trail. We have learned it was not an easy task and can't wait to make it to the end. Today we had to figure out how to get our wagon and supplies down a 300 foot drop. That has been Allen's favorite part so far. It is a good activity for us all to do together.
