Australia Day

We are part of a group that occasionally does a geography night. The topic last night was Australia. Allen decided he wanted to learn about the Great Barrier Reef. He used a box and had a blue background with printouts of fish and coral and wrote several facts about the reef. Laura learned about Australia's flag and colored a map and flag picture to share. Joey shared information about kangaroos andmade a fun kangaroo craft that was was proud of helping with. He did a great job speaking in front of the other kids and sharing facts. Allen wasn't there since he had scouts so we just took his project. Laura was too shy to speak last night. It's interesting how we all just decided on a country and every kid who participated picked a different area and way to present there topic. A few kids did a skit, some chose othere animals, others did models. My kids enjoy this activity alot and it is alot of fun to do. Unfortunately our camera is broke so we don't have pictures but I am keeping the projects for now.
