Off to a Running Start

Since I last posted we have been very busy. We have helped at our community garden several days-picking green beans, peppers, watermelons and sugar babies. We have toured a local quarry. That was a great trip learning about the ricks, driving in and seeing all the equpiment, seeing their wildlife habitat within the boundary, watching a short film of what they do and getting to take our picture by a huge truck. We have had a dentist appointment for Joey, while their grandfather watched the other kids and took them to lunch. Then we roamed the local mall for a bit. We had a visit for a week with the Pilgrim Virgin Mary statue from our church. My parents brought us some scaffolding for Allen to use for the shed he is building. Allen went to spend the night with them. We wtched Virginia Tech lose to Alabama(boohoo!) After church on Sunday, we went to my parents to swim at the lake and have a bbq and visit with them and Terri and Taylor. Laura spent the night there. On Monday, Allen decided he needed double scaffolding so Joey, Anthony and I drove to Terri's to get it. Then we went to my parents to get Laura. On Tuesday, the kids woke early got all theri school work done. Then we went to noon mass to celebrate the Birth of Mary. Then we went to Rady Park for our annual homeschool picnic to kick off the new year. The kids had a great time palying with their friends. On Wednesday, Laura had nursing home and then we went to our friends to help watch their little ones for a bit. I was able to go to a MNO and had a nice time with several ladies from our church group. Oh yeah-we got school work done yesterday too. That catches us up to today.
